Our client, a growing organization with operations in British Columbia, is seeking a Safety Associate to help support a safe, compliant, and engaged workplace. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a safety professional who enjoys partnering with employees and leadership teams to promote best practices, support training initiatives, and contribute to a positive safety culture.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting day‑to‑day health and safety activities while helping drive continuous improvement across the organization.
What You'll Be Doing:- Support the execution and continuous improvement of workplace health and safety initiatives.
- Assist with employee training, onboarding, and safety awareness programs.
- Participate in workplace inspections and help identify opportunities to reduce risk.
- Support incident reporting, documentation, and follow‑up activities.
- Help maintain safety records, certifications, and compliance‑related documentation.
- Collaborate with leaders and employees to encourage safe work practices and proactive hazard identification.
- Assist with policy reviews, program updates, and safety communications.
- Monitor safety metrics and contribute to reporting and trend analysis.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the health and safety function as required.
- Promote a culture where safety is integrated into everyday decision‑making.
- Post‑secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, Human Resources, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience supporting health and safety programs in an industrial, manufacturing, logistics, construction, or operational workplace is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and digital record‑keeping systems.
- Ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization.
