Join the Institute of Cancer Research as a Scientific Officer, focusing on innovative myeloma therapies in Sutton. This full‑time position involves utilizing molecular biology techniques in clinical trials and studies.
This 24‑month fixed‑term role, reporting to Professor Martin Kaiser, requires a BSc in a biological field. You will work on sample processing and bio‑banking while supporting national trial studies. Your experience in laboratory practice and molecular techniques will enhance the research team's capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Support processing of clinical samples for research
- Apply molecular biology techniques for genetic analysis
- Manage bio‑banking for various national studies
- Ensure compliance with safety and laboratory standards
- Collaborate with the Haemato‑Oncology Research Unit
- BSc in biological sciences is essential
- Basic computer skills for databases and documentation
- Familiarity with molecular biology techniques necessary
- Experience with sequencing or cell culture is a plus
- Valuable laboratory practice knowledge preferred
