Scientific Officer in Myeloma Trials

Contribute to myeloma research as a Scientific Officer at the Institute of Cancer Research in Sutton. This full-time role focuses on molecular biology techniques in clinical trials.

This 24-month fixed-term position, under Professor Martin Kaiser, requires a BSc in biological sciences. You will be involved in clinical sample processing and bio-banking while facilitating national study trials. Your laboratory and molecular technique experience will play a critical role in enhancing the research efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support processing of clinical samples for research

• Apply molecular biology techniques for genetic analysis

• Manage bio-banking for various national studies

• Ensure compliance with safety and laboratory standards

• Collaborate with the Haemato-Oncology Research Unit

Requirements:

• BSc in biological sciences is essential

• Basic computer skills for databases and documentation

• Familiarity with molecular biology techniques necessary

• Experience with sequencing or cell culture is a plus

• Valuable laboratory practice knowledge preferred
