Consumables Department Manager
Position Summary
The Consumables Department Manager leads daily department operations by coordinating associate activities to deliver a strong customer experience. This role ensures the sales floor is fully stocked, well zoned, and customer ready by guiding associates through handheld tasks, maintaining merchandise standards, and supporting customers with their shopping needs. By leading the team and planning work based on workload and customer traffic patterns, the Department Manager drives effective execution while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized store environment.

Deliver an Excellent Customer
Experience:
Provides friendly and professional customer service by greeting customers, assisting with product selection, promoting products and services, helping locate merchandise, supporting purchase decisions, and resolving or referring customer concerns as appropriate.
Execute Daily Availability and Merchandising Tasks:
Delegates, supports, and follows up on the completion of Customer Availability Process tasks, including section work, capping bins, and stocking picks.
Price Changes, Features, and Modular Execution:
Delegates, assists with, and follows up on the completion of price changes, feature sets, and modular execution within assigned areas to maintain accuracy and presentation standards.
Sales Floor Coverage, Recovery, and Zoning:
Delegates and supports associate coverage across required areas of the sales floor. Supports recovery and zoning activities to ensure the department remains customer‑ready.
Associate Scheduling and Break Coverage:
Ensures associate breaks are taken in accordance with coverage requirements to support smooth operations.
Associate Training and Development:
Trains, develops, and provides ongoing feedback to associates to support performance, engagement, and growth.
Safety, Cleanliness, and Compliance:
Maintains a safe, clean, and hazard‑free work environment by following Company policies and procedures, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and free of debris.
Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule):
Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high‑quality service.
High Task Volume in a Fast‑Paced Environment:
Manages overnight hours effectively and plans accordingly to stay energized and focused. Handles a fast‑paced workload with efficiency, ensuring large volumes of restocking and recovery are completed accurately and on time.
Physical Demands:
Performs physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.; performs repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail and consistency to uphold store standards.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $19.35.
