Self‑Checkout Attendant at Walmart Canada. This role supports a positive shopping experience by providing friendly, helpful service and assisting customers as they complete transactions in the self‑service checkout area. • Maintain Self Checkout Area Standards: keep the self checkout area clean, safe, and organized, free of fixtures, debris, foreign objects, and spills.
• Promote Walmart Programs and Initiatives: support promotion of company programs including credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable initiatives when applicable.
• Support Customers at Self Checkout: assist customers to use self checkout quickly and confidently, monitor activity, complete required checks, explain interventions in a friendly way, and escalate cash or technical issues to the Customer Service Manager.
• Respond to EAS Alarms and Complete Documentation: respond to EAS alarms per procedures and accurately complete the 3 Failure to Deactivate3 log.
• Manage Scan & Go Equipment: ensure Scan & Go scanners are returned to designated storage locations after use.
• Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule): be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high‑quality service.

• High Task Volume in a Fast‑Paced Environment: manage overnight hours and plan ahead to stay energized and focused.
• Physical Demands: perform tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.; perform repetitive stocking, zoning, and organizing with attention to detail.
