Position: Support Worker Role at LOFT Community Services
Join LOFT Community Services as a Residential Support Worker in Newmarket, ON, dedicated to promoting client independence and well-being. Engage in hands-on support within a team-oriented housing setting.

As part of the YRSS Supportive Housing Services, you will work directly with clients facing mental health and homelessness issues.

Your role will involve personal care coaching, facilitating group engagements, and maintaining a secure living environment, all aimed at fostering self-respect and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coach clients on personal care, medication, and budgeting

• Lead house meetings and daily household operations

• Assist clients with healthcare and social services

• Support positive living environments through psycho-social strategies

• Document client progress and contribute to team communication

Requirements:

• Relevant degree/diploma in human services or a related area

• Minimum 2 years of experience with vulnerable individuals

• Knowledge of harm reduction principles

• Strong crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities
