Program

Summary:

York Region South Simcoe (YRSS) Supportive Housing Services provides support to individuals facing serious mental health challenges and homelessness, who might also experience substance use challenges. This program provides a range of supportive housing options across York Region and South Simcoe, either within LOFT owned houses/buildings or through head lease arrangements with private landlords. Each house or apartment, whether individual or shared, comes fully furnished and with support services attached.

Our goal is to support clients to maintain housing stability and tenure in the community, in a manner that fosters self-worth and dignity. We offer a range of programming that meets the level of support needs or unique challenges of specific populations. These include small group living arrangements for those requiring minimal support, individual and shared accommodations, and staffed congregate settings for individuals needing daily support.

Within that continuum, we also serve people with current involvement in the criminal justice system or those with several comorbid health issues.
