Descon is expanding and seeking a skilled Controls Engineer / PLC Programmer with a minimum of five years’ experience in packaging line integration. In this position, you will develop PLC and HMI programs using Rockwell software, troubleshoot machinery, and perform onsite commissioning.

Your role includes participating in R&D, and developing essential pre-engineering documentation, ensuring successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop PLC and HMI programs using Rockwell software

• Travel for onsite start-up and commissioning projects

• Participate in R&D and customer presentations as required

• Document pre-engineering necessities accurately

• Troubleshoot machinery to identify and solve issues

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in packaging line integration

• Proficient in Rockwell Software and automation systems

• Knowledge of electrical control systems and communications

• Strong communication skills for documentation

• Willing to travel throughout North America 25-50%
