Become an integral part of First Student as a Driver Trainer in Newmarket, ON. This role focuses on training and mentoring, ensuring the highest standards of safety for future drivers.
As a Driver Trainer, you will lead training sessions for both new and existing school bus drivers. Your expertise will help cultivate a safety-centric culture, enhancing driver confidence and promoting regulatory compliance. Flexibility is key, as you'll need to adapt to various training schedules and formats.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver effective classroom and road training sessions
• Provide ongoing support and refresher courses for drivers
• Monitor performance and assist with skill development
• Maintain training records to meet compliance standards
• Engage actively in safety initiatives at the location
Requirements:
• Valid Class B license with required endorsements
• Minimum of 3 years in commercial driving
• Impeccable driving record over the past 3 years
• Strong coaching and mentorship skills
• Commitment to safety excellence
