About the RoleAbout the Role
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented
Materials Handling Associate to support our warehouse and inventory operations. This role is responsible for accurately receiving, storing, picking, and preparing materials to ensure timely and efficient order fulfillment. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Receive, put away, and organize inventory in designated storage locations
- Pick, stage, and prepare orders for shipment
- Perform inventory counts, cycle counts, and recounts as required
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading, labeling, and staging materials
- Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies promptly
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and carts (forklift certification is an asset)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment (e.g., breaking down boxes, disposing of waste, organizing work areas)
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards
- Perform other warehouse-related duties as required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum4 years of experience in warehouse, inventory, or materials handling roles
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems preferred
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to60 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment
- Commitment to workplace health and safety in compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
- Willingness to complete required safety training and follow all safety procedures
