Shipping Clerk

IS2 Workforce Solutions is currently recruiting for a Shipping Clerk on behalf of our client in Newmarket. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a combination of office and warehouse responsibilities. Approximately 50% of your day will be spent performing computer-based shipping and inventory tasks, while the remaining 50% will involve forklift operation and material handling.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in shipping, receiving, inventory control, and forklift operation.

Location:
Newmarket, ON

Shift: Day Shift (Monday–Friday)

Pay: $21.00/hour

Responsibilities

· Coordinate the daily inbound and outbound movement of materials and finished goods.

· Prepare, package, label, and stage customer orders for shipment.

· Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.

· Inspect incoming products and report any shortages or damages.

· Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management software.

· Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory control.

· Create and process shipping documentation and update shipment information.

· Schedule and coordinate pickups and deliveries with transportation carriers.

· Safely operate forklifts, Raymond Reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.

· Load and unload trucks while following all safety procedures.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

· Assist with additional warehouse and shipping duties as required.

Qualifications

· Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics.

· Valid Forklift Certification required.

· Raymond Reach experience is considered a strong asset.

· Strong computer skills with experience using inventory or warehouse management systems.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.

· Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

· Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

· Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse duties throughout the shift.
