IS2 Workforce Solutions is currently recruiting for a Shipping Clerk on behalf of our client in Newmarket. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a combination of office and warehouse responsibilities. Approximately 50% of your day will be spent performing computer-based shipping and inventory tasks, while the remaining 50% will involve forklift operation and material handling.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in shipping, receiving, inventory control, and forklift operation.
Location: Newmarket, ON
Shift: Day Shift (Monday-Friday)
Pay: $21.00/hour
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the daily inbound and outbound movement of materials and finished goods.
- Prepare, package, label, and stage customer orders for shipment.
- Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming products and report any shortages or damages.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management software.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory control.
- Create and process shipping documentation and update shipment information.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups and deliveries with transportation carriers.
- Safely operate forklifts, Raymond Reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload trucks while following all safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Assist with additional warehouse and shipping duties as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics.
- Raymond Reach experience is considered a strong asset.
- Strong computer skills with experience using inventory or warehouse management systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse duties throughout the shift.
