We are looking for a specialist to join a well-regarded secondary school on a long-term basis, delivering impactful lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for A-Level teaching for the right candidate.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is a mandatory requirement for this role.
- Specialist Instruction: Design and deliver a comprehensive Physics curriculum that challenges students and fosters a deep understanding of physical laws.
- Practical Laboratory Leadership: Oversee safe and engaging experiments—from circuit building to wave investigations—ensuring students bridge the gap between theory and reality.
- Exam Success: Prepare Year 11 (and potentially Year 13) students for their examinations with targeted revision, mock assessments, and personalised feedback.
- Inclusive Pedagogy: Differentiate your teaching methods to ensure Physics is accessible and stimulating for learners of all abilities and backgrounds.

Work alongside fellow Science specialists to share resources, develop innovative schemes of work, and contribute to the faculty's success. - Data-Driven Progress: Use student performance data to monitor progress and implement effective interventions to help every pupil reach their potential.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS is essential.
- A relevant degree in Physics or a closely related STEM discipline.
- Proven experience teaching the UK Physics curriculum at the Secondary level.
- Strong classroom management skills and an unwavering commitment to laboratory safety.
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.
- An enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
