We are looking for an experienced and motivated Refrigeration Engineer to join our growing team. This is a hands-on, varied role working on high-performance industrial refrigeration systems across the UK and internationally. You will play a key role in the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and optimisation of NH3’s ACF systems, helping our customers achieve world-class freezing performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Service, repair, and maintain industrial refrigeration systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation
- Support the installation and commissioning of new ACF projects, including overseas travel
- Diagnose and resolve technical faults on mechanical, electrical, and control systems
- Carry out routine inspections to proactively identify and prevent potential issues
- Work closely with internal engineering, manufacturing, and project teams
- Help develop and implement best-practice maintenance and service procedures
- Maintain accurate service reports, records, and documentation
Key Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the refrigeration industry
- Strong background in industrial refrigeration systems (ammonia experience highly advantageous)
- Engineering background (minimum 2 years required)
- Full UK Driving Licence (required)
Technical Skills
- Proven ability in refrigeration system diagnostics, maintenance, and repair
- Strong mechanical and electrical understanding of complex systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Familiarity with refrigeration controls, automation, and energy‑efficient system design
