Junior Sous Chef

junior sous chef required for a Gastro pub in the Newmarket area. This is a fresh foodpub, with locally source produce, this is a team of 3 in the kitchen, this therefore is a hands on role. As a junior sous chef, you will be the number two for the head chef and run the kitchen when he not in.

all the chefs only do straight shifts and they finish at 6pm on a sunday!. Junior sous chef £33-36k, must drive due to the location.

The role
As a junior sous chef you will be responsible for the smooth running of the kitchen when the head chef is not in and also cook on the other days. it is a team of 3 in the kitchen team with only 2 on at once, it therefore is a very hands on role in the kitchen. You will do prep, cook in service and coordinate the pass if the head chef was not in.

This role includes all the standard junior sous chef duties.

Experience
We are looking for a junior sous chef from a fresh food background. You will have good knife skills and a passion for a gastro pub style menu. As it is a team of 3, you will need to be able to work around all the dishes in the kitchen.
