Position Overview

We are seeking a proven senior product development leader to drive the vision, strategy, and execution of our next-generation AGV/AMR and industrial equipment platforms. This role will lead the definition of our product, platform, and program roadmaps while working directly with the executive management and the engineering teams, business development, to ensure alignment with strategic growth initiatives.

Product & Platform Vision
  • Develop and own the end-to-end product, platform, and program vision, ensuring scalability, differentiation, and competitiveness.
  • Establish multi-year roadmaps for products, technologies and programs that connect customer needs, market trends, and company strategy.
  • Champion platform strategies that enable modularity, commonality, reusability, and cost efficiency across product lines.
  • Prioritize critical market needs for initial product releases (v1) while thoughtfully planning enhancements and deferred features within a long-term technology roadmap.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner with engineering to translate strategy into executable designs, architectures, and development plans.
  • Collaborate with sales and business development to ensure market alignment, customer adoption, and commercialization success.
  • Engage directly with the C-suite to influence product investment decisions, shape business initiatives, and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
Strategic Influence
  • Act as the bridge between technology and business, ensuring engineering execution supports market, business and revenue goals.
  • Drive program-level governance, ensuring projects deliver on time, within budget, and to required global quality standards.
  • Provide thought leadership on global industry trends, competitive positioning, and emerging technologies.
  • Review and evaluate whether technology development meets defined capabilities and, in the event of non-compliance, assess the impact on the business case.
Execution & Results
  • Lead cross-functional multi-national efforts to bring new AGV/AMR and industrial equipment products from concept to commercialization.
  • Ensure robust processes for risk management, compliance, and lifecycle management.
  • Track and report progress on product initiatives to senior leadership and the executive management where required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Systems, or related field; MBA or advanced business training strongly preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive product development experience in AGV/AMRs, robotics, automation, or industrial equipment.
  • Demonstrated success in setting product/platform vision and delivering programs that influenced business direction.
  • Strong experience working directly with executives and business development on strategic initiatives.
  • Proven leadership in cross-functional product development programs, bridging engineering and commercial functions.
  • Excellent communication, executive presence, and influencing skills.
  • Experience with global product platform deployment.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, ROI, and business case development for product initiatives.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites, suppliers, and international engineering teams.
  • Proficient in ECAD, MCAD, simulation, and emulation tools.
  • Experience in monitoring and analyzing global competitor activities and market trends.
  • Experience developing and implementing intellectual property strategies to protect innovations and strengthen competitive advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of process automation requirements, with proven ability to embed these considerations into product development and design.
