- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery such as slitters, collectors, high‑speed welders, conveyors, and palletizers.
- Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipment.
- Perform building maintenance including minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeep.
- Repair and assess electrical issues as they arise.
- Familiarize yourself with our CMMS system and log labor/parts according to established expectations.
- Be willing to work overtime, including weekends and off‑shifts as required.
- Participate in an on‑call program and may be required to work additional hours on off‑shift due to the program.
- Understand quality, PPE requirements, safety, and the importance of complying with safety policies and procedures.
The Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance and repair duties across a range of manufacturing equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and compliance with all safety and quality standards.
Requirements- High School Diploma or equivalent;
Technical degree in maintenance‑related field preferred. - At least 2 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic in a metal manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice ISO
9001 standards for metals manufacturing. - PLC experience preferred.
- Experience with and ability to use all types of welding, cutting, machine, and hand tools preferred.
- Experience in high‑speed packaging, welding, and mechanical power transmission preferred.
The position requires frequent walking, standing for long periods, using arms and hands, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling occasionally, talking and hearing. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, materials that could irritate eyes, skin, and breathing, and high‑speed automated equipment.
Appropriate personal protective equipment is required. The work environment is often noisy; hearing protection is required.
