Position SummaryThe Maintenance Tech I uses science, engineering, and mathematical principles to solve technical problems in research and development, manufacturing, inspection, and maintenance. The role may involve assisting colleagues in research and development, quality control, inspecting products and processes, conducting tests, or collecting data. The Maintenance Tech I may also assist in product design, development, or production.
Responsibilities- Maintain facility and related equipment in focus area.
- Install, modify, and repair manufacturing machines, equipment, plant support equipment, facility structure, and grounds.
- Troubleshoot maintenance and process problems; develop preventive and corrective actions.
- Support manufacturing to achieve safety, productivity, and quality targets; support Kaizen initiatives.
- Maintain and improve 5S and TPM activities.
- Support equipment downtime reduction initiatives.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Effective interaction with co-workers, subordinates, and supervisors.
- Physical ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.), standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, working overhead, and operating motorized equipment.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to handle multiple and changing priorities.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 3 years electrical and/or mechanical experience in manufacturing, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
- Welding and/or electrical certification preferred.
80-100% of work is on the manufacturing floor. The environment is fast-paced and fluid. No travel is required.
