Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Georgia, requiring a GA or compact RN license and every other weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Medical Surgical unit

• Treat patients with diagnoses including stroke, COPD, AKI, chest pain, diabetes, COVID, pneumonia, and general med/surg cases

• Day shift schedule: 3x12 hours, 6:45 to 19:15

• Required to work every other weekend

• No on-call requirements

• Floating may occur within the facility and within scope of practice as needed

• Expected to work major holidays during the assignment according to facility policy

• Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed; no RTO permitted during first week of assignment

• Compliance with facility protocols required to start on time; delays may result in a two-week start pushback

• Travel pairs are not permitted to work the same shift on the same unit

• No blocked scheduling is allowed

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers

• Returning travelers must complete one successful assignment outside of Piedmont before returning if previously unable to complete a contract

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required

• Minimum of one year RN experience

• Current BLS certification required

• Unit accepts first time travelers

• Candidates must provide two supervisory references from a manager or higher; charge nurse references not accepted

• Must not have worked as perm or PRN staff at any Piedmont facility within the past year
