Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position with peritoneal dialysis cases and every other weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital setting

• Patient population includes general medical-surgical and peritoneal dialysis cases

• Day shifts with a 3x12 hour schedule from 7:00 to 19:00

• Every other weekend work is required

• No on-call responsibilities

• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed

• Must be fully compliant with facility requirements before assignment start date

• Return travelers must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one full year to be eligible

• If previously unable to return to a Piedmont facility, must complete a successful assignment outside Piedmont before returning

• Maximum of 7 days requested time off (RTO) allowed, and no RTO during the first week of assignment

• Travel pairs are not allowed to be assigned the same shift on the same unit

• No blocked scheduling allowed

• Holiday coverage required: if the assignment includes one major holiday, you must work it; if two, you must work both; if three, you must work two

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required

• Minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience

• Unit welcomes first-time travelers
