Position: Pre-Operative / PACU RN

Pre-Operative / PACU RN

Join to apply for the Pre-Operative / PACU RN role at Surgery Partners, Inc

Shift: 4 days, 10 hours/day,

Responsibilities
  • Direct and be accountable for the nursing care of patients in the Pre-Operative Assessment and Testing outpatient setting.
  • Teach and share knowledge with ancillary services (anesthesia) and physicians in patient preparation for surgical procedures.
  • Multi-task with excellent telephone communication and charting skills.
  • Show strong empathy when dealing with patients and families undergoing surgical interventions.
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
  • Organize and deliver pre-operative patient education based on the specific needs of each patient.
  • Gather histories, perform physicals, use anesthesia guidelines for pre-operative testing when not previously ordered by surgeon, and evaluate lab work, EKGs, and surgical clearances.
Qualifications
  • Must hold a current license for a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a Pre-Operative Setting.
