Registered Nurse – Oncology (BMT / Stem Cell)

Newnan, GA | Inpatient Oncology

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite

• Provide direct inpatient oncology nursing care within a start-up BMT/Stem Cell program, supporting low-volume census as the unit grows
• Administer and monitor chemotherapy, stem cell therapies, blood/blood products, and continuous or IV push infusions in accordance with established protocols
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, implanted ports, and infusion pumps; perform central line blood draws and IV starts
• Recognize and respond to oncologic emergencies including Acute Tumor Lysis Syndrome, anaphylaxis, extravasation injury, hemorrhage, sepsis, and spinal cord compression
• Share clinical expertise with existing nursing staff and contribute to team education as part of a developing program; float to IMCU as needed based on background
• Utilize Epic for documentation and Pyxis medication system; apply SBAR communication standards when interfacing with interdisciplinary providers

• Active Georgia RN license in hand at time of submission (no pending licenses accepted)
• BSN required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; 2 years in specialty required per compliance guidelines
• BLS certification required (AHA only; Heart Code not accepted)
• ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• Chemotherapy certification required and must be in hand at time of submission (OCN preferred)
• Candidates located within a 75-mile radius are considered local and are welcome to apply at the applicable local rate

• BMT, stem cell, or cellular therapy experience strongly preferred
• Experience with immunotherapy, interferons, interleukins, and management of related side effects
• Familiarity with telemetry interpretation and monitoring, tracheostomy care, chest tube management, and post-surgical care
• Background in hospice, palliative care, advanced directives, or outpatient/infusion oncology settings
