Food Runner

Overview

We are a high-volume sports bar and grill, a neighborhood favorite for families and individuals to celebrate a special occasion, catch the big game or just to have lunch or dinner. With over 100 tv’s showing all sporting events, there is never a dull moment in our bar. We provide a fast paced and exciting environment for our staff, and we also provide the tools to for our staff to be successful.

We only use the best ingredients available to make every meal remarkable.

The Food Runner is primarily responsible for delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately. It is this person who will maintain the cleanliness of the expo line, organization of order tickets, and communicate effectively with BOH team. The Food Runner will also be responsible for the initial expediting of carryout orders.

• Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of all food menus including carryout and catering menus
• Assure guests have everything they need on the tables after delivery of food.
• Ensures guest has proper silverware, napkin, share plates when delivering food.
• Keep kitchen station clean and organized.
• Utensils & steak knives polished and stocked.
• Assist all servers, bartenders, and managers with carrying of plates.
• Communicate effectively and courteously with guests, and co-workers.
• Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g., food allergies)
• Perform calmly and effectively under stressful conditions.
• Promote an atmosphere of teamwork by assisting co-workers.

• Previous restaurant experience preferred
• Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to effectively listen to and respond to customer needs
• Must have a courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor
• Ability to multitask efficiently
