Base pay range
$17.00/hr - $20.00/hr
Responsibilities- Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems start‑ups, cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day. Responsible for opening the back door for deliveries.
- Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied).
- Hold store keys to open and close without management when necessary.
- Assist with and coach other team members in warehouse and vendor ordering processes, including opening the back door for vendor deliveries.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure the accuracy of on‑hand quantities.
- Manage basic department pricing and make daily price changes; ensure proper signage is displayed.
- Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash report, counts, ledgers, and bill payments as requested.
- Maintain a clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance; request repairs as required.
- Assist with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies; maintain stock rotation.
- Provide basic knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Assist at the pharmacy window as requested.
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
- Check team members’ bags before leaving the store.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
- Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager.
- Serve as a liaison between management and non‑management team members by communicating assigned tasks when store management is absent.
- Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Knowledge of store inventory control.
- Consideration of candidates with arrest and conviction records.
- Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
