MAU is hiring a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician for our client Kason in Newnan, GA.

As a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician, you will repair and maintain mechanical equipment and systems, including engines, motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical circuits, and production machinery. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Shift Information

Hiring for multiple shifts!

  • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday
  • 2nd Shift: 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM, Monday – Thursday
Required

Education and Experience Level I
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1–2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and training
Level II
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2–4 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and training
Level III
  • Technical training certificates or an Associate’s Degree
  • 6–8 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and training
General Requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, and measurement conversions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collect and analyze data
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards
  • Team-oriented mindset with ethical work practices
  • Dependable attendance and ability to follow directions
Essential Functions Level I
  • Work with pneumatic systems and principles of compressed air
  • Identify components and understand basic principles of hydraulic systems
  • Identify plumbing fittings and interpret schedule ratings; complete orders by name
  • Install 120V and 480V electrical circuits and perform related AC/DC tasks
Level II (Includes all Level I responsibilities)
  • Troubleshoot air logic systems using schematics
  • Explain hydraulic force and energy transmission
  • Install and layout plumbing systems including sweat, glued, screwed, and welded connections
  • Interpret isometric drawings and size pumps for flow/head pressure
  • Apply basic plumbing codes and fabricate/install plumbing supports
  • Use correct welding electrodes for tasks
  • Wire step‑down transformers for all voltages
  • Read and write electrical schematics
  • Troubleshoot PLC systems using computer interfaces
  • Install and troubleshoot electric motors and AC/DC drives
  • Use electrical test equipment including voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and meggers
  • Perform Arc welding, MIG welding, plasma cutting, and oxy‑fuel cutting
Level III (Includes all Level I & II responsibilities)
  • Install air logic controls from schematics or blueprints
  • Troubleshoot complex hydraulic circuits with valves, pumps, coolers, filters, and accumulators
  • Identify and explain types of hydraulic pumps
  • Operate all fabrication equipment required for maintenance tasks
Working Conditions
  • Loud manufacturing environment
  • Frequent exposure to extreme heat
  • Occasional work at heights, outdoors, or in precarious locations
  • Potential exposure to fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and vibration
  • Risk of electrical shock when working on systems
Physical Demands
  • Regular use of hands, tools, and hearing/speaking abilities
  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, and crawling
  • Occasional reaching and lifting up to 50lbs
