Responsible for providing a fun and safe atmosphere for all children participating in Paintbox program through guided activities, crafts, and learning opportunities. Assists Paintbox Manager with the execution of all educational and artistic programs that involve children in the resort.

• Assist in overseeing the daily operation of Paintbox.
• Assist in planning and leading art activities, including painting, ceramics, eco‑friendly crafts, textile dyeing, and more, tailored to various age groups.
• Prepare and maintain art supplies, ensuring all materials are safe and age‑appropriate.
• Assist in teaching scheduled art classes for children, teens, and adults.
• Coordinate with staff to transition the room for art classes after camp sessions.
• Stay updated on art trends and techniques to bring fresh and engaging activities to the program.
• Lead all daily activities and ensure that all guests are participating.
• Responsible for safety and security of all children participating in Paintbox programs and activities.
• Responsible for program’s daily setup and clean up.
• Assist in organizing and executing all special event activities for special occasions, holidays, summer and winter programs and special requests for groups and social functions.
• Responsible for posting all charges to rooms and credit cards.
• Inform children and parents of daily craft and activities.
• Handle reservation requests; take incoming phone calls, meeting all phone etiquette standards.
• Be knowledgeable on all present and upcoming programs, offerings, and family activities through Paintbox.
• Maintain relationships and communication with past and future guests with pre/post visit correspondence.
• Develop relationships and work with department heads to ensure the successful operation of Paintbox.

Due to the hospitality industry's cyclical nature, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the hotel's business needs. In addition, attendance at all scheduled/mandatory training sessions and meetings is required.

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Strong knowledge of art techniques and materials preferred.
• Minimum of 1‑year working experience with children.
• Valid CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Luxury hotel or resort experience preferred.
• Must be organized.
• Availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Most tasks are performed outdoors in variable weather conditions, including hot, cold, windy and wet weather. Temperature can be extreme but is usually moderate. Frequently works near moving/mechanical parts. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to reach with arms and hands; bend and stoop; remain at post standing for extended periods of time; and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

The pay scale for Activities Attendant is $18.50 per hour.
