Equipment Technician, Diffusion – Tower Semiconductor

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Technician to conduct advanced repair, calibration, and preventive maintenance for semiconductor diffusion equipment. The role requires strong leadership in evaluating and meeting maintenance requirements to maximize equipment availability while providing technical guidance to lower‑level technicians.

• Perform complex machinery problem solving and work on diagnostic troubleshooting and repair to component level.
• Analyze recurring equipment failures and develop innovative technical solutions or new work methods.
• Lead and direct activities to develop/improve existing semiconductor equipment maintenance procedures and systems.
• Collect equipment‑specific performance data, work with Engineering to implement solutions to equipment failures based on Pareto data and tool deficiencies.
• Provide technical, equipment‑specific training to lower‑level technicians and interface with vendor support to resolve failures.
• Take a lead role in resolving process issues, participate in yield investigations, and participate in ERT/Safety events when supervision is absent.
• Ensure equipment parts are on order and follow up to minimize MTTR and maintain equipment availability.
• Act independently and work with minimal support.

• Associate of Science degree with emphasis in Electronics or equivalent.
• 5+ years technical experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of advanced electro‑mechanical systems operations and maintenance, and ability to troubleshoot to component level.
• Strong knowledge of electronic theory, vacuum and pneumatics theory, motor control systems, and test procedures.
• Experience with Applied Materials Producer, Novellus C1/C2 Sequel/C2 Speed/C2 Altus is desirable.

$26 – $38 per hour

Works in a fab clean‑room environment.
