Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking an energetic and self-motivated Mechanical Engineer with 1 - 4 years of experience working in the architecture and engineering industry designing HVAC and/or plumbing systems for commercial, industrial, multifamily, healthcare, or industrial facilities. The successful individual willhave an interest in the design of HVAC, piping and plumbing systems for hospitals, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities. In addition, theindividualshouldbecomfortable consulting architectural practices andhaveadesiretoworkona multi-disciplineengineeringteam.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Approximate Base Salary – $82,000 - $97,000 based on experience
• Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate
• Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance
• Hybrid Work Schedule (subject to change)
• 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• BS in Mechanical engineering
• EIT/PE license in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience in HVAC or plumbing design
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Familiarity with relevant codes: mechanical, energy, plumbing
• Familiarity with both HVAC and Plumbing systems
• Experience with load calculation software such as Trace, HAP, etc.
• Experience with energy modeling software (Energy Pro, etc.)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Adobe InDesign software preferred. Must understand database concepts. Working knowledge of marketing databases and proposal resources files.
• General knowledge of firm’s practice, clientele, goals, policies, and procedures.
• Basic understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and procedures and basic marketing principles.
• Able to work independently, as a team member, and as a team leader.
• Strong organizational ability; detail oriented; high degree of accuracy.
• Must work well under pressure.
• Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.
