Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

As a Medical Assistant at Rad Net, you will deliver high‑quality patient care and support clinical operations in a team‑focused environment.

• Take accurate vital signs and record them in the patient chart/EHR.
• Perform intramuscular and subcutaneous injections, draw blood, and collect/label specimens.
• Maintain accurate patient calendars and records.
• Assist with scheduling diagnostic testing and obtaining insurance authorizations.
• Stock and restock supplies according to site guidelines.
• Comply with HIPAA, safety guidelines, and universal precautions; use PPE appropriately.
• Organize patient flow through the clinic area.
• Collaborate with all levels of medical office staff.
• Obtain patient test results and other diagnostic records for physicians/nurses.
• Coordinate consultation services or imaging studies as directed by management.
• Support physicians/nurses with procedures; set up equipment, assist, and clean up.
• Identify and communicate important issues or problems to management.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory space; decontaminate equipment and exam rooms per protocol.
• Attend meetings, seminars, and training as required.
• Comply with all company practice, policies, and procedures.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Medical Assistant certification and appropriate state licensure/permits.
• Proficient medical terminology knowledge.
• Strong computer skills.
• Proficient mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, fractions).
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective time‑management skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle moderately complex assignments under minimal supervision.
• Ability to interact effectively with doctors, patients, vendors, peers, staff, and management.
