Job Overview
Our client, a prominent law firm specializing in intellectual property (IP) law, is seeking an IP Associate to join their team. The IP Associate will work on a variety of IP matters, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. The role involves both transactional and litigation support for clients across different industries.
Responsibilities- Provide legal advice on IP protection, management, and enforcement.
- Draft and negotiate IP agreements, including licensing agreements and assignments.
- Assist with patent and trademark filings, responses, and prosecution.
- Support IP‑related litigation by conducting legal research and drafting legal documents.
- Help clients manage their IP portfolios and offer strategic advice.
- Stay informed on changes to IP law and provide insights to clients.
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
- Experience or strong interest in intellectual property law.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and projects with attention to detail.
- Collaborative and team‑oriented attitude.
- 2-6 years of professional law firm experience
