Resident Services Manager
UDR, Inc. and its affiliated companies are seeking a Resident Services Manager to join our team at Eight 80, an exclusive apartment community (1,447 homes) located in Newport Beach, CA.
As a Resident Services Manager, you will build community culture and lead the team to achieve resident retention and customer service goals.
Essential Functions Administrative- Prepare, communicate, and deliver all resident‑specific and community letters, notifications, and legal documents; manage new resident move‑in processes, documentation, and issuance of keys, fobs, remotes, parking permits, and assignments.
- Enforce policies and procedures; maintain compliance with lease agreements, including lease review and authorization.
- Plan and manage all community events.
- Manage community website, social media campaigns, and outreach marketing to drive occupancy.
- Maintain acceptable NPS scores and facilitate reputation management.
- Use Sugar CRM to manage resident relations, service requests, and communications.
- Supervise rent, package, and parcel management.
- Document key distribution according to the Key Policy.
- Investigate, address, and resolve resident or community issues, including dispatch for patrol services and preparing incident reports.
- Act as an organizational representative with the Business Manager for legal actions such as court appearances.
- Oversee inventory and replenishment of office supplies and refreshments.
- Develop and maintain emergency action procedures.
- Collaborate with Centralized Admin, Sales, and Renewal teams to meet leasing and renewal goals.
- Create a productive, motivated, and goal‑oriented leadership style.
- Comply with all company employment policies.

- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
- Walk community daily; open and close all “showing” units.
- Monitor office, restrooms, amenity areas, parking, and units for cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Refresh signage and distribute collateral to support occupancy drives.
- Answer resident and guest queries professionally and promptly.
- Execute and close self‑guided tours; provide guided tours for prospects.
- Conduct move‑in orientation and renewals with existing residents.
- Manage the Customer Survey Program and follow‑up communications.
- Escalate maintenance matters to the Service Manager; ensure resolution.
- Collaborate with the Business Manager on financial responsibilities.
- Conduct P‑card reconciliation for the community.
- Host daily and weekly team huddles for operational issues.
- Hire, train, and develop staff to maximize potential.
- Monitor and address staff performance; manage corrective actions.
- Approve time records and time‑off requests.
- Manage vendor keys per UDR policies.
- Source new vendors for community appearance and resident services.
- Maintain telecom and computer equipment; troubleshoot IT issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred; equivalent experience acceptable.
- Experience in property management, leasing, administration, and customer service.
- Prior supervisory/managerial role (e.g., Assistant Property Manager or Property Manager).
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing teams.
- Strong customer service background.
