Certification Details
- The Clinical Nurse I role provides direct patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act to assigned patients in the Home Health and/or Hospice setting.
- The nurse collaborates with other disciplines of the health care team to ensure the delivery of safe, timely and appropriate quality patient care.
- Responsibilities include physical assessments, IV, infusion, nursing interventions, pain management, medication administrations, specimen collection, meeting nutritional needs, and teaching and discharge needs of the patients assigned.
- Utilizes the nursing process based on evidence-based best practices to meet patient care needs.
- Evaluates and adjusts the nursing care process as necessary with consultation as needed and confers with appropriate resource personnel when making ethical/legal/medical dilemma decisions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Details
- Requires a minimum of two (2) years of acute clinical nursing experience.
- Clinical home health care experience is required for Home Health.
- Hospice requires a minimum of two (2) years of acute clinical nursing experience or home health experience.
- Completion of an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher education is required.
Job Requirements
- Hospice nursing experience is preferred.
