Sr. UX Engineer​/Architect

Summary:

This is a really exciting opportunity to work with an exciting IoT start-up (falling under a larger corporation's umbrella; however, operating independently). Built on a modern technology stack, the IoT platform combines cutting edge video quality / compression software and an exciting codebase with much more new development to come.

We are less than two months away from our first release and we're looking for additional help with UX Design and Development. We are looking for team members who have the skill and flexibility to learn on the fly and hit the ground running. You will join a small but powerful team who work collaboratively with full-stack and backend engineers to craft simple, intuitive UIs, and a seamless and smooth user-experience.

• Collaborate with full-stack and backend engineers to craft simple, intuitive UIs and a smooth user experience for an IoT platform.
• Participate in design and development work on a modern technology stack focused on video quality and compression software.
• Learn quickly and contribute to the team as a UX designer/developer with ownership of features.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from an accredited college or university.
• Over 5 years of UX experience.
• Strong knowledge of CSS

• Excellent skills with HTML

• Solid CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms).
• Skilled with prototyping, wireframes, and workflows.
• Balance of design, software-development skills and product sense.
• Real ownership of the products and features you build.
• Willingness to take on the sometimes unglamorous tasks necessary to do the right thing for the user.
• Ability to balance the need to ship quickly with the need for quality.
• Well-thought-out opinions about product.
• Experience with iterative development and rapid release.
