Groundworks Supervisor

Synergy Personnel Ltd are currently recruiting for a Groundworks Supervisor – Isle of Wight (Hampshire)
Project Value: £2m | 2 week contract to start, but if you are the right candidate it will be potential for Long-Term Contract

We are seeking an experienced Groundworks Supervisor to lead and manage works on a major infrastructure project on the Isle of Wight. The project involves the installation and supervision of stormwater drainage and foul water systems, with responsibility for coordinating site activities, managing teams, and ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

* Supervise daily site operations relating to groundworks, stormwater and foul water drainage

* Manage labour 6 to 8, subcontractors, and materials on site

* Ensure works are completed to specification, on time and within budget

* Maintain the highest health & safety standards and site discipline

* Liaise with the project manager, engineers, and client representatives

* Carry out site paperwork, permits, toolbox talks and reporting as required

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Groundworks Supervisor on civil engineering or utilities projects

* Strong knowledge of drainage and associated infrastructure works

* Minimum certifications required:

* SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme)

* First Aid

* CSCS card

* Excellent communication and leadership skills

* Ability to read drawings and manage teams effectively
