Overview
The System Analysis Accountant works in a highly computerized environment and is responsible for reviewing and testing financial systems software, conducting monthly and annual financial data analyses, and preparing and maintaining the annual budget. This role also involves submitting Medicare and Medicaid annual cost reports, reimbursement analyses, and federal, state, and local tax returns. The Accountant is tasked with assessing the theoretical integrity of accounting functions within the department.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with a minor in Computer Science/IT (Required)
- Master's Degree (Preferred)
Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in Accounting with a minor in Computer Science/IT (Required)
- Alternatively, 2 years of experience as an Accountant involving database design, software design, and programming (Basic SQL, C++, Visual Basic) in lieu of a minor (Required)
Licenses and Certifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - The AICPA (Preferred)
