Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Be an advocate in application on W. M. Jordan’s Safety and Health Management Program
- Collaborate with Project Manager and Superintendent in the application of company processes and project operations
- Organize and manage submittal processes (log development, processing, etc.)
- Manage project coordination with all project trade partners, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Coordinate material delivery requirements with superintendent, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Initiate, research, and track Requests for Information (RFI’s)
- Field questions from subcontractors and suppliers relative to shop drawings and contract requirements
- Manage various document control methods such as submittal logs, material procurement logs, RFI logs, contract documents (field and electronic copies)
- Assist with Lean processes implemented on projects
- Participate in and/or facilitate jobsite progress meetings to include documenting minutes
- Organize and manage project closure requirements (Operations and Maintenance Manuals, Owner Training, Attic Stock and Warranties)
- Participate in development and updating or maintaining of the project schedule as delegated by project manager
- Assist with proposal management (research, follow-up) as delegated by project manager
- Track green building requirements (as required)
- Participation in trainings and company meetings to facilitate individual and company growth
- Develop industry relationships and expand professional networks
- Experience as a commercial construction Project Engineer
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field, OR two (2) years commercial construction experience preferred
- OSHA training preferred
