Overview

The Service Desk Team Member serves as part of the 24‑hour service desk team at J‑53, NH‑156, Camp Allen, or Newport News locations. The role assists residents with general needs, leasing and placement tasks, move‑in/out, phone calls, and emergency responses.

Shift Times:

  • 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm (rotating weekends)
What You Will Do
  • Answer incoming telephone calls, determine caller purpose, and forward to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with referral/placement and move‑in/move‑out processes.
  • Maintain fax machines, assist users, and perform other clerical duties as necessary.
  • Remind residents of the online work‑order system and train them over the phone.
  • Register new residents, assign room numbers, and issue room keys.
  • Respond to incoming customer work‑order requests and input work orders from residents.
  • Report customer‑service related issues to the appropriate property‑management staff.
  • Coordinate day‑to‑day customer communication and interact with customers to foster ongoing relationships.
  • Drive for the company using a company vehicle, personal vehicle, or rental vehicle more than 50% of the time.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Three to six months of related customer‑service experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; communicate effectively to customers or employees.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) applied to routine tasks.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Internet/Intranet, Outlook, and e‑mail systems.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing; must meet driving‑record standards per the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
