The Welding Product Trainer 2 is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering welding school classroom and practical training programs for shipyard personnel and customers. The role involves creating training materials, leading sessions, and continually updating lesson plans to reflect evolving technical requirements.
Responsibilities- Plan, develop, and coordinate in‑house product training programs.
- Prepare training materials and course content, determine methodology, and coordinate development of training aids.
- Conduct training sessions and assess effectiveness of training activities.
- Facilitate practical exercises in shop or field environments.
- Continuously revise lesson plans to incorporate new training requirements and technical updates.
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years of exempt experience;
Master’s degree and 1 year of exempt experience. - Equivalent education: NNS Apprentice School graduate;
High school with 5 years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military experience;
Graduation from Navy Nuclear Power School. - Equivalent experience: 3 years of relevant manufacturing, shipbuilding, trade and/or military experience.
- Welding experience.
- Comfortable with public speaking.
- Ability to lead people.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience teaching as a mentor, instructor, or in a supervisory position.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
