Job SummaryThe Department of Economics at Christopher Newport University invites applications for a tenure‑track position in Economics.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses with a nominal teaching load of 3‑3.
- Conduct policy‑relevant research, especially in macroeconomics, applied economics, or econometrics.
- Participate in departmental, college, and university service.
- Engage students in research projects, speaker series, and extracurricular activities.
- PhD in Economics or a closely related field (ABD candidates considered for Instructor).
- Commitment to undergraduate education and excellence in teaching.
- Potential for publishing high‑quality, policy‑relevant research.
- Membership in Phi Beta Kappa desirable.
