Responsibilities:- Oversee all aspects of the Part 135 Maintenance Department, ensuring regulatory, procedural, safety, and quality compliance.
- Implement and manage effective aircraft maintenance, inspection, and repair programs in accordance with Federal Air Regulations, company manuals, and manufacturer recommendations.
- Maintain the Approved Aircraft Inspection Program, Minimum Equipment List Program, General Maintenance Manual, and ongoing maintenance training requirements.
- Ensure all aircraft maintenance records meet FAA standards and provide continuous status updates to flight operations.
- Lead the procurement and inventory management of aircraft parts and supplies.
- Direct and evaluate training and testing of maintenance personnel, identifying and proposing ongoing training needs.
- Facilitate a culture of continuous improvement, high performance, and collaboration within the maintenance team.
- Maintain effective relationships with senior‑level customer personnel and participate in special engineering, modification, and certification projects as required.
Skills:
- Meets requirements of 14 CFR Part 119.71 or is able to obtain a waiver from the FAA.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as an aircraft mechanic with verifiable, practical maintenance experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role within a maintenance organization.
- At least 3 years' experience in a Part 135 environment.
- FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) Certification or license.
- FAA Inspection Authorization (IA), or ability to acquire before start date.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal and team leadership abilities.
- Thorough knowledge of FARs, technical bulletins, airworthiness directives, and aircraft systems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
- Participation in a Drug Free Workplace Drug Testing Program.
- Valid driver’s license.
Skills:
- Experience with AS & ISO requisite training standards.
- Completion of Blue Tuna FAA Part 145 Training or equivalent industry training programs.
- Familiarity with supplemental type certification process and FAA certification procedures.
- Background in engineering, aircraft modification, and technical project oversight.
- Demonstrated success interfacing with senior customer personnel and stakeholders.
- Physical ability to occasionally lift/move items over 50 pounds.
