ITA is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the team at ITA HQ, Newport News, VA. Responsibilities
- Serving as a part of an agile development team, delivers an end-to-end data pipeline automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in a cloud environment for an existing Navy Customer;
- Lead Code Design activites;
- Contribute to the development complex ML & data science based scripts, and/or templates, and dashboard;
- Collaborating with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution;
- Contributing to the design of information and operational support systems;
- Providing assistance with Enterprise Application Development;
- Provides support for compliance and continuous improvement for software development and software policies and procedures. Qualifications

Required Experience:

- Bachelor's degree plus 10+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience.
- Preferred degree in Computer Science (CS) or Software Engineering or related fields of:
Engineering, Mathematics and Data Science.
- Relevant experience includes at minimum, a concentration of courses in the following foundational CS areas: algorithms; computer architecture ; programming methodologies and languages; data structures; logic and computation; and advanced mathematics (for example
- Advanced Statistics, Calculus, Discrete Mathematics).
- Experience in Data Science software development
- Experience in Python development
- Experience in Oracle database development
- Ability to Obtain and Maintain a Secret Clearance
-Desired KSAs/experience:
- Knowledge of software engineering, specifically data science related to developing complex dashboard;
- Demonstrated experience with secure development, coding, and engineering practices;
- Experience in AI and/or Modeling and Simulation;
- Experience in development data pipelines;
- Experience in software packaging;
- Experience in Tableua and/or Microsoft Power

BI;
- Scripting skills, including Shell Scripts;
- Ability to work in an open team environment;
- Security first mindset;
- Strong verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
