Position Overview
JANUS is currently seeking a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Operational Architect to support the Architecture Branch Organization Build support team located at Fort Eustis, VA. The role aligns under the Architecture Integration and Management Division (AIMD), an element of the Futures and Concepts Center (FCC) reporting to the Army Futures Command’s (AFC).
RequirementsApplicants must:
- Hold an active Secret clearance and be able to verify U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain that clearance.
- Be a U.S. Citizen to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Identify and align requirements, derive system architecture and functional design, and identify associated risks to ensure products meet Army requirements.
- Apply AFC/FCC strategy and outline systems architecture needed to support missions.
- Consolidate current and planned future system architectures.
- Configure and maintain architecture toolsets, integrating across the Army Architecture portfolio.
- Work closely with AIMD Data Stewards to maintain data dictionary and data lineage.
- Three years’ experience developing standards, policy, and governance for the development, storage, and exchange of Army capabilities/force development data.
- Three years’ experience conducting analysis and experimentation in support of capabilities development activities (e.g., NAG).
- Three years’ experience providing support to Capabilities Development Functional Data Managers with standards, policies, and data exchange specifications.
- Documented experience planning, coordinating, and carrying out enterprise architecture projects.
- One year of experience building DODAF/UAF compliant architectures in Magic Draw (Highly Desired).
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical architecture analysis in high-quality documents and presentations for various audiences.
- Experience coordinating with diverse Subject Matter Experts and staffs (e.g., TRADOC, DA staff, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Army Centers of Excellence, Capability Development Integration Directorates).
Target salary range: $85,000 - $95,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
