Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Tech Trend is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, security, and compliance of enterprise software applications operating within a secure, cloud-hosted environment. The successful candidate will work as an integral member of Agile development teams, collaborating with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to validate system functionality and support continuous improvement.

• Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on system requirements and user stories.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and data validation testing for web-based and cloud-hosted applications.
• Validate integrations across GOTS, COTS, and custom-built components to ensure interoperability and data integrity.
• Identify, document, and track defects using issue management tools and collaborate with development teams to support resolution.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) activities and validate results against acceptance criteria.
• Verify compliance with security, performance, and operational requirements.
• Contribute to quality metrics, test reports, and release readiness assessments.
• Assist with test environment coordination and release validation activities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 5–10 years in software QA/testing, including web and cloud applications.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, test life cycle, and defect management.
• Experience leading QA efforts, mentoring testers, and coordinating across teams.
• Agile development experience and familiarity with issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration.
• Familiarity with secure cloud environments (Azure IL5/IL6 or FedRAMP).
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.
• Certifications:
  
  ISTQB Advanced Level (Test Analyst or Test Manager) and CSQA or CSTE.

• Government or regulated system experience
• Agile/Dev Ops testing certifications (e.g., CAT, ICP-TST)
• Test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, CTAE)
• Process improvement certifications (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt)
• Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, security, and performance testing.
