Responsibilities
  • Instrument and assemble hardware components into complete test articles.
  • Support the Fabrication department by performing technical duties associated with fabrication and assembly tasks, including handwork, fit and finish.
  • Lead assigned tasks by planning the sequence of operations to ensure completion within schedule and budget.
  • Verify conformance of finished assemblies to specified tolerances, blueprint specifications, and other required specifications using measurement tools such as calipers, scales, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Interpret, select, adopt and apply appropriate guidelines, procedures, and practices related to assemblies, disassembly, and component rework or repair.
  • Identify, verify, and maintain accurate documentation of all instrumentation and/or required testing.
Qualifications Preferred Education / Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of related discipline; or
  • Combination of education and experience equivalent to the above.
Preferred Knowledge / Ability
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • May be required to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation application, including strain gages, soldering, PC board population, and cable and harness manufacture.
