Design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software. Set operational specifications, and formulate and analyze software requirements. May design embedded systems software.

We are looking for an entry level Software Engineer who is interested in designing and building information systems to support construction of some of the largest and most complex products in the world. We are the sole designer and builder of U.S. Navy Aircraft Carriers and one of two providers of U.S. Navy Submarines. As a Software Engineer you will build and maintain systems that process information across multiple disciplines:
Materials Management, Planning and Provisioning, Human Resources, Finance, etc. You will interface with the most powerful systems in the world: SAP, Team Center, SharePoint, JDA Component Supplier Management System, Hyperion, etc. and work with the most advanced data base engines in the world: SQL Server and ORACLE. You will support engineering organizations of all disciplines (Mechanical, Metallurgical, Electrical, Radiological, Civil, etc.),

craftsmen of all types (Electricians, Welders, Fitters, Fabricators, Machinists, etc.) and critical support organizations (Communications, Payroll, Clinic, Quality, Security, Supply Chain, etc.). • Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of relevant exempt experience.
• NNS Apprentice School graduate
• Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
• Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
• Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
• High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
• High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
• A relevant professional certification can be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
