Newport News Behavioral Health Center offers hope and healing, providing intensive residential and acute treatment, for males and females ages 8-21.
As an LPN, you implement nursing care for assigned residents. You assist in the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of nursing care under the direction of the DON according to standards of practice. You utilize advanced skills in patient care after education and training.
ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care in adolescent psychiatric and general psychiatric settings; assess patient needs; develop care plans; coordinate with interdisciplinary team; monitor patient progress; maintain accurate documentation; uphold safety and compliance standards.

Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing program for Licensed Practical Nurses and hold a valid license in the state of Virginia to practice as an LPN. Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain CPR upon hire. Prefer minimum one year experience in an adolescent psychiatric or general psychiatric setting. Requires mental alertness, stamina, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
