Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Newport News, VA | Acute Care

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Chart and document patient information using Epic EMR
• Float to other units as requested based on facility needs
• Adhere to unit protocols and maintain compliance with all facility and regulatory standards

• Active Virginia RN license in hand at time of submittal, or proof of a valid compact license
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, with L&D as most recent experience
• Specialty experience within the last year required
• Epic EMR experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required — must be issued through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• NIH and stroke education required
• One supervisory reference required at time of submittal
• SSN required at time of submittal
• Locals are welcome and will be considered at the same base rate

• Prior travel nursing experience in a Labor and Delivery setting
• Familiarity with acute care hospital environments and associated compliance requirements

• Opportunity to work in a well-established acute care facility with a structured Labor and Delivery program
• Expected schedule of 36 hours per week on a consistent night shift rotation
