Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring 2 years of recent L&D experience and Epic charting proficiency.

• Active VA RN license or compact license in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and NRP required; ACLS and AWHONN Intermediate preferred
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Specialty experience within the last year required
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• NIH Stroke Scale education required

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of an acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00
• Floating may be requested based on facility needs
• Uses Epic charting system
• Provide nursing care within the Labor and Delivery unit
• Local candidates accepted at the same base rate
• Previous permanent employees must have a 6-month gap before returning as a traveler
• RTO requests should be minimal, ideally none, with a maximum of 7 days total for the assignment
• All RTO requests must be submitted with the initial application and confirmed prior to approval
• No additional RTO requests will be approved after an offer is extended
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position
