- Experience in cardiothoracic surgery, including high-acuity surgical support for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases; scrubbing experience is beneficial but not mandatory
- Proficiency in general operating room procedures with the ability to circulate across core service lines
- Experience with EMR, specifically EPIC, is required
- Active, unrestricted RN license; must be valid in Virginia or part of the compact nursing license agreement
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required
- Four weekday call shifts (Monday through Friday), covering from the end of shift until 7 a.m.
- Four weekend call shifts per month, covering both day (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.) and night (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) shifts on Saturday and Sunday
This is a multi-service Level II Trauma Center featuring 15 operating suites, including one hybrid OR. The surgical team includes three cardiothoracic surgeons and five vascular surgeons.
