• Food Preparation/Production Responsibilities
• Reviews menus, production and prep guides to determine type and quantities of food to be prepared.
• Prepares all meal items according to planned menus and standardized recipes in a sanitary manner to ensure the utmost quality with a minimum of waste.
• Uses nutritionally equivalent substitutes when required.
• Operates a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment, such as blender, mixer, fryer, slicer, steamer, food processor, convection oven, stove, conventional oven, steam table and tilt skillet.
• Follow recipes.
• Prepares and assists with special function meals.
• Completes work assignments

• Food Safety

• High school diploma preferred.
• Prior work experience with food preparation a plus.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age‑related needs of the residents served.
• Current food handlers' card is preferred.
